Maurizio,

thanks for the compliment!

The color suggests cold and hot areas (blue=cold, red=hot). In a classic heat map unused grid elements will be blue (you can use the background option to get this).

No! The colors represent the tracked value of this grid. On each tick the ticker looks for his known moving objects. The actual location of each moving object will be increase the value for this grid element. The heat map module don't know how long an object was in a grid. But it knows how often it has found objects at this grid.

Could it be changed to a different scale, could it use a different color map ?
The colors dependent on the values of the grid and the drawing settings in your module. Because of that you can't change the colors. But you can change the drawing with the data draw setting in each ticker. Those settings don't change the collected data. You can also get an independent drawing with the export function.

You will find a lot more information in the help of the heat map module (user manual or help button in gui).

Greetings

Carsten

I've made a little example based on the supermarket model.

Changes to the original model:
- added a HeatmapTicker
- add a code line in NN33 (OnArrival) to add new shoppers to heat map
- add a code line in NN255 (OnArrival) to remove old shoppers from heat map

You will get the model, an example export result (html) and a preview picture.

Carsten,
the only addition i wish to see are :
- see the number of catches directly in the flexsim model (maybe just point the mouse over a certain box.
- see also the number of catches per time unit (which a direct measure unit to explain the % of occupation of a certain box)
- in the html report, overalap the gris chart with a model' s top view.
Of course it is just a suggestion.
Maurizio

That could be truly a cool feature But right now I haven't a solution.

I don't think this is possible. The size of the grid chart will be calculated. Because of that size and position of the grid elements are relative. But most browsers can save the grid chart as a picture. With a program like Gimp you can combine this chart picture with a screenshot of your simulation.

Nevertheless the new version 1.5 is online: http://cloud.scheffernet.de/owncloud...487d5f6e922fd8 (64bit FlexSim V7.3.6)
or http://cloud.scheffernet.de/owncloud...9e9609069cb17f (32bit FlexSim V7.3.6)

Now you have a new object for 3D tracking. I hope you like it

Right now the heat map module doesn't work with FlexSim V7.5. As soon as a new SDK is available I'll be able to make a compatible version. Be patient

The new SDK is available (thanks to FlexSim) As promised the heat map module 1.6 for FlexSim V7.5:
http://cloud.scheffernet.de/owncloud...1aa8b8c6f5762b (64 bit FlexSim V7.5)

The 32 bit version isn't available right now (errors from linker).

Nevertheless the 64 bit version works fine. You can install V1.5 for FlexSim V7.3.6 and V1.6 for FlexSim V7.5 simultaneous.

Last but not least the 32-bit version:
http://cloud.scheffernet.de/owncloud...77d2f12746ea61 (32 bit FlexSim 7.5)

It should work fine. Any comments are highly appreciated

Thanks to Anthony for the fixed linker issue.
