Default Floid Sim

All,

Here is my 3D version of the Boyd simulation that Eamonn showed us in his presintation during the Flexsimposium. Adjusting the sliders on the GUI will change the behavior of the little balls. The balls have a higher attraction to balls of the same color. Here is a definition of what the sliders do:

Attraction - Adjusts the amount of attraction between the balls
Alignment - Adjusts the amount that the balls will try to travel in the same direction of the surounding balls
Rotation - Adjusts the amount that the balls can change direction in any given itteration
Seperation - Other balls within this distance wll be ignored
Search - Other balls outside of this distance will be ignored
Romage - The light blue sphere - or the distance that the balls are willing to travel away from the center before they reverse course back towards the center

The locations and directions of the balls are updated each second so the model needs to be run at a speed of about 15 to look smooth.

Enjoy,
Brandon
