Default Problems with Excel-Import

Hello all,

do somebody else have problems with the Exel-Import?

The situation is as follow. After a while of modelling in a model, i want to change the production list. I declare the Excel-Workbook, rows, cols etc. on Single Table Import, then i push the button and a message appear:
Excel Import - Unable to link to workbook. Recheck path and name of Excel Workbook.
I recheck the path and the name, all is correct, i try again.. same procedure.
Then i think maybe compile.. nothing, allways the same.
The only solution to fix this, is to save the model and close flexsim. Open again the model and then it works.

Do i something false or is this a bug? Does anyone else have this problem?
I can not replicate it, sometimes it happens sometimes not.

Regards
Tobias

Hi Tobias,
I experienced this problem when you do not quit the excel application in the right way.
So make shure your import code is executed to the point wehre it says excelclose(). I recommend a excelquit() in advance.
If you can not finish the import, it sometimes helps to open excel from windows (if excel is closed) and then use the script console with an excelquit() command.
hope this helps..
